Submersible Cutter Pumps

HCP Pumps offers submersible cutter pumps that are competitively priced without sacrificing quality.  Our AFC series of submersible cutter pumps are effective, reliable, and durable pieces of equipment.  Like all our pumps, they are built to last and perform to a high standard.

What Is a Submersible Cutter Pump?

Submersible cutter pumps are used in the sewage and wastewater treatment industry.  As the name implies, they are equipped to cut through fibrous foreign objects that find their way into the system.  From "flushable" wipes and sanitary items to fabric and thick paper or cardboard, these objects can wreak havoc and cause major problems with pumps that aren't equipped to deal with them.

A cutter pump reduces the size of solids, such as clogs and rags.  More energy-efficient than chopper pumps and available in a wider range of heads and flows, a submersible cutter pump combines a powerful impeller and a stationary cutter with a ring of teeth or blades to shred anything that enters the pump.  A cutter pump lessens downtime caused by clogs and keeps your system running smoothly.

AFC Series Submersible Cutter Pumps

HCP Pumps equip the AFC series of submersible cutter pumps with a tungsten carbide-edged impeller, making it perfect for pumping sewage and breaking or tearing debris.  These pumps have a C-type impeller and cutting casing cover on the impeller vanes.  Destructible solids are shred against the inner cutting blades.

Our cutter pumps are designed to meet international standards, with epoxy resin-sealed cable, motor protector, dry motor, silicon carbide seal, and high-grade cast iron.  We use only superior abrasion-resistant carbide mechanical seals to ensure the best seal possible, and our cutter pumps have a heat-hardened casing cover designed to withstand abrasions.
