Slurry is mixture of fine particles and liquid. Slurry can vary from relatively thin to thick, and a great number of things qualify as slurry. Certain food products, cement, wastewater, mud, and sewage sludge are all considered types of slurry-- and this only scratches the surface. The combination of solids and fluid in slurry can be challenging to pump. It requires more power to pump a slurry than to pump a liquid without suspended particles. The particles in slurries are also often abrasive, which presents another challenge.

Submersible Slurry Dewatering Pumps
HCP Pumps' HDG series of slurry dewatering pumps were designed with civil engineering applications in mind. These pumps are conveniently portable, yet have a durable double outer casing. Our HDG pumps are built tough, with a cast iron motor housing and stainless steel outer jacket. Their water-cooling motor means it's possible to run the pump even in low water levels.
Our HDG series of pumps have IP68 standard epoxy cable, with the cable entry equipped with anti-wicking epoxy and compression grommet. These pumps feature an automatic rest motor protector and a leakproof triple seal design. The HDG series pumps have a multi-impeller design constructed with high chrome alloy steel (HiCrFC) impeller, wear plate/wear rings with hardness 55-60 Rockwell, and a hardened agitator. Single and three-phase motors are available, and select models come with internal capacitors.
